Questions of the Soul

Hey family and friends!!

This week I has been great. It was busy as usual but it was good.

We made it into December and it still is 90 degrees outside haha.

This week we had a lot of second and first teaching appointments with
some of our newer investigators. One experience stood out in
particular to me.

We had our second visit with a young mother that we met about 2 weeks
ago. It was Tuesday around 3 o clock. We went to the visit prepared to
teach The Restoration because that was the pamphlet we had left here.
We when we got there she was already on her porch with her children's
nanny and the Plan of Salvation pamphlet on the coffee table. When I
saw the pamphlet I was really confused because I was positive that we
had left a Restoration pamphlet. I imagine she must have found the old
pamphlet from some other missionaries that had passed by long before
us. We sat down, greeted each other and then she started with her
first question. "I was reading the pamphlet and I read about the
premortal life and I have never heard about anything like it. Could
you explain more to me and show me where this is supported in the
Bible?" At first I was a little alarmed. A little nervous but at the
same time excited. It isn´t often we get questions like that. We could
tell that this woman had recieved higher education than many of our
other investigators.

But it wasnt long before my nerves were calmed down and we were being
led by the spirit to answer her question. We talked about Jeremy 1:5
and about our free agency. This lead to a deep and spirit lead
discussion about the Plan of Salvation. We answered questions like,
"If my children aren´t baptized are they damned?", "If baptism is
absolutely neccessary, what about those that have never had a chance
to be baptized?", and other great questions. I was so grateful that we
were able to answer her questions.

As we finished the lesson I feel like we were all very content. I
could tell that she had learned and that she looked forward to the
next visit. As we were walking to our next visit I thought about the
questions we had answered. I realized that many of the questions we
answered, could not be answered by most other Christian religions. I
felt very grateful for the knowledge I have been given of the Plan of
Salvation. It was a fulfilling experience that strengthened my
testimony of the Plan of Salvation. It brings peace and assurance. It
answers our deepest questions. I am so grateful for the Plan of
Salvation and for the revealed truth about it.

So  I am doing good as always. Hope you all have great weeks!!!
