San Juan
A new transfer here in San Juan begins...
It has been a good week. It actually has been a longer week than
normal. Not because it was harder but it just felt long. I think it
was because of transfers and helping the new missionaries get arranged
here in San Juan.
Honestly right now we are just preparing for Kevin and Karla´s wedding
and baptism this Wednesday. I am pretty excited. All the hard work is
going to finally pay off.
Today for Pday we with our neighbor zone to play soccer on a full size
field. We rented out the turf field and we played for about 2 hours.
That was the first time I had ever played on a full field here in
Honduras. It is way different than a playing on the cement basketball
courts at the church. But it was a good time. It was blazing hot and
very tiring but I enjoy the exercise and wearing myself out. But next
week I think we are going to play basketball with the gringos haha.
I really am enjoying myself here in San Juan. The members here are
great. We have lunch and dinner just about every day. And the food is
great! Well at least I think it is. I am pretty used to the usually
beans and rice thing now. Actually the other day we ate mondongo soup
again! Mondongo is lining of the cows stomach. It kind of looks like a
wet towel swimming around in your soup. But this time it wasn´t that
bad. After a lot of chile and lime juice I managed to eat it all haha.
Sorry for the short email this week. Promise that next week it will be
great. With lots of pictures and stories. I love you all. Hope you
have a great week!!!
