I LOVE YOU GUYS
Wow! Today I opened up my email and I had a bunch of awesome emails
to read! A bunch of news and things going on! Kaelyn working at the
theaters, Grant hit by a truck(get well soon), Kent going to Jamaica,
and Brandt going to Concord. I love you guys!!!!
I don't have much time because I wanted to respond to all your emails.
This
week I was so tired. On Monday we played a lot of soccer. On Wednesday I
cut branches of a tree with a machete, on Thursday we played more
soccer, and we contacted a lot. I have been way tired when we get home.
It is exhausting but a good exhausting.
This
week I was looking at changing desires. Because sometimes we find people
that are perfectly capable of changing but they just aren't willing. So I
read about how Enos desired the salvation of others after his
repentance. His desire changed. I also read how the people of King
Benjamin gained a desire to keep the commandments. I wondered how they
gained that desire. Enos tells us that it was through faith and
repentance. King Benjamin tells that is through love of God. I was
thinking, "How can I get someone to repent and love God if they don't
want to?" I think being an example works best. Being a happy and bright
example of love and repentance is what often motivates others to change
themselves. Those are my words of wisdom this week. :)
Love,
Elder Gessell
