Rain, Rain, Go Away

Lots more rain this week! Lucky there hasnt been any flooding! It has actually gotten a little chilly these past few days! I mean it probably was only like 65 degrees but everyone was walking around with heavy duty sweaters and beanies haha. It was really funny.

Transfers were this week. Both Elder Lima and I are staying for another change which was expected. A lot of the people that I have known since the beginning of my mission have gone home now. It is weird to think that they have lives other than being a missionary. Sometimes it is weird to think that I had a life other than being a missionary haha. I feel like I have been doing this my whole life haha!

A couple weeks ago the Branch President asked if we would start visiting an elderly couple from the branch and read the BoM with them everyday. It has been way cool helping Hermano Mario and Hermana Rosita read and understand the BoM. They were baptized about 5 years ago and have grown to love the Gospel. Whenever we tell them about a little success that we have or a baptism we are planning, Mario is so happy. It is awesome to see his love for missionary work even though he can´t participate too much. They love reading the BoM with us and we just got into Mosiah yesterday. They also have a lamb named Lucero(starlight). Lucero is super funny and loves it when we scratch her head. They invited us to eat Lucero for Christmas this year hehe.

This week in our district meeting we talked about gathering the house of Israel. We talked about how the majority of people we come in contact with here in Honduras are long lost decendents of the House of Israel. Many of these people are decendents of the Lamanites and are decendents of Lehi. Our mission President has the keys of the Gathering of Israel in our mission. These people are part of the House of Israel. They, even if it is deep down, have that Israelite blood. For that reason we find these people that are prepared. People that are prepared to be part of the House of Israel once again. It was a pretty big push of motitvation for me and kind of blew my mind haha.
