Dia de Pavo!
It has been quite the long week!
On Monday and Tuesday we were on exchanges with the zone leaders. I had a good time. Sometimes it is nice to get out of the area to meet and teach new people. I spent most of the day with Elder Vance. He is from Kentucky and has been in the mission for a little over a year.
On Thursday I completely forgot it was Thanksgiving! We did not have an ideal Thanksgiving dinner. Our dinner appointment cancelled on us so we just bought some chicken and fried plantane for dinner. Thankfully the chicken was really good.
Yesterday was election day in Honduras so there was only Sacrament meeting and we were told to stay inside all day. I spent a lot of the day asleep and reading the Book of Mormon and writing down some thoughts. It was a nice relaxing time to sort of gather my thoughts and reflect.
I was reading in some of the chapters in Alma which talks about the wars. I read about captain Moroni. It reminded me about how many awesome examples there are in the Book of Mormon. The obedience of Nephi, the courage of Abinidi, the knowledge of Alma, and the boldness of Moroni. We are so lucky to have these examples laid out for us. We just need to study them and try our hardest to apply them to our lives. I love the little tribute Mormon gave to captain Moroni. He basically said that if everyone was like Moroni then the world would be perfect. No wonder Mormon named his son after him.
That is all for this week. I love you all! hope you have a great week!!
