Dia de Madres
Hey everyone!!
Pretty good week this week! Elder Martinez is feeling quite a bit better and I got to talk to my family!
As for proselytising this week I feel like it was a pretty successful week. We have been contacting a lot the past few days because we didnt have very many investigators. I enjoy contacting mostly because it is usually cooler outside rather inside people's houses. But I also enjoy answering questions about Mormons and Joseph Smith. It is also nice to just meet and talk to new people.
Aside from contacting we have been teaching 4 young catholic girls. They are easy to teach because they actually read everything we give them haha! So this week we invited them to baptism! They said yes... sort of. They were a little surprised about the invitation. I think a lot of times people here don't think the missionaries are teaching to baptize. Usually they just enjoy listening to the word of God. So they agreed to be baptized once God tells them that these things are true. That is a great thing about the missionary lessons. It isn't just us telling the investigators these cool stories hoping that they'll believe them. Its a logical and simple process. We give them the information that they can ponder and pray about and then it is up to God and the Holy Ghost. And if they have faith and sincere intent God will tell them that it is true. And who can deny God? Haha of course it isn't ever that easy! But the Gospel really is easy and simple so that all can understand and accept it.
Also this week was Mothers Day! So happy Mothers to my Mom and all the other moms in the world ahah. So I got to talk to my family and it was awesome! We got to talk through Skype and it felt like I was back in the United States for a few moments haha. Of course it made me a little homesick, but just for a few moments. It was more of a reminder of why I'm here and a motivation booster.
Other than that not much else this week. We are still working with Carlos and finding more people everyday! Love you all and thanks for the prayers!!!
