Blood, Sweat and more Sweat
Hey Everyone!
This week we were also off and on with our power because the secretaries havent been paying our energy bill for the past 6 months haha. So on Tuesday we slept with fans in the heat. It was the hottest night of my life. I woke up soaking wet in sweat. Its kinda of funny how when I got here in Honduras I realized how thankful I was for AC, but now without my fan I realize how thankful I am for that also.
On Wednesday it was Elder Martinez´s birthday so we got together as a district and went to a cool place to eat. It was a BBQ restaurant and the meat was really good. It was the most tender meat I have eaten since I got here. It made me miss my dads grilling a bit haha.
On Friday we had divisions with the Zone Leaders. Their area is huge so we did a ton of walking that day. We basically contacted the entire day which wasn´t as bad as it sounds. I needed the practice and I feel like it really helped.
On Saturday we had a mini MTC for the primary kids in the stake. It was sort of an encouragement for the kids to go on missions. It was a well put together activity. President Carlisle was there and the Stake President. It was fun to talk to all the kids and teach them how to explain their beliefs. It felt like I was teaching swim lessons again haha.
Today we played soccer and all ate at a place called Super Chicken as a district. Right now I am not very good at soccer but I really want to learn. Sadly Elder Martinez doesnt like to play soccer so I have been learning from the other latinos.
That is mostly it for this week. Hope you guys are all doing well! Thanks for the emails! Love you all!
Elder Gessell
