Crazy Bus!
Hey everyone!
This week was pretty good!
On Tuesday we had a meeting for the missionaries in training...which means me. The meeting was in San Pedro Sula which is a 4 hour drive from La Ceiba. So we had to get up at 3:30 in the morning and get on a hot and gross bus. Thankfully I slept for most of the ride so it wasn´t as bad as it might sound. We got to the meeting and I got to talk to the other gringos that arrived with me here in Honduras. Elder Somerville and Elder Hancock both seem to be doing fine. Anyways, in the meeting we spoke about language study and personal study goals a lot and then had a good lunch. The lunches with President Carlisle are always good because they have fruits and vegetables haha. After the meeting it was time to get back on another bus. Except this bus was a little different. It was much smaller, cheaper, and much faster. Except it probably wasn´t the safest bus out there because it would swerve in and out of traffic just to pass other cars. It was pretty crazy. I can already see my dad shaking his head. Sorry dad. Also I decided it was a good idea to drink a liter of water before I got on the bus. So I spent the last 45 minutes of the trip needing to pee more than ever. haha. But we finally made it home.
The other big thing that happened this week was we had a fundraiser for one of our investigators, Carlos, to get married. Well at least we tried. We had asked a few members of the ward to donate some beans and tortillas and eggs so that Carlos could sell baleadas. But no one from the ward followed through. Elder Martinez and I were pretty upset and frustrated with the members. We came home that night a little discouraged. But later that night I read Nephi 17. In this chapter Nephi is commanded to build a ship and when he asked his brothers to help they mocked him and said it is impossible. Nephi responded by telling them that God has always prepared a way to complete his commandments. Sometimes things seem hard and sometimes they don´t always happen at the time we want but their is always a way prepared for us to follow the commandments. It is a commandment that Carlos is married. So it will happen. Maybe not how we want it or when we want it. But it will.
That is mostly all of it for this week. Changes are next week but not much is going to change for me because I am still training.
Thanks for all the prayers and emails!
Love you all

Today we hiked a mountain and went to small water fall and spring. I dont know what it is called haha. But it was really pretty. I was in a Caribbean jungle!
