Honduras Bound

Elder Gessell,

Thinking of you this morning as you are probably either almost to Honduras or already there. You are probably feeling a lot of different emotions right now, nervousness, homesick, and excitement. I just want you to know that we all have been praying for you and know that you are in the very best of hands...Heavenly Father's.  Go to him for comfort and strength. Pour your heart to him. He knows you and is aware of what you personally need. I think one of the most important things you will learn on your mission is to come to Him and trust in His plan for you. 

We love you Matthew.  Dad and I are so pleased with the young man you are. We are here for you even miles apart. Go to your mission president for any concerns you have. He is there to support, guide and help you while you are there. 

Since you have left I have met two other people who have had brothers who served in Honduras and loved it. I know you will too. 

I love you Matthew. Sending you a virtual hug.  Know that you are in my thoughts daily and in my prayers several times a day. 

We are looking forward to hearing about your travel and about your new companion, your mission president, and your area where you will serving and living. Share with us as many details as you can.
